Dr. Ruben St. Laurent is a functional neurologist, concussion expert, medical researcher, medical examiner, who practices functional neurology serving Flower Mound and the surrounding communities. He completed his extensive post-doctoral training in neurology, orthopedics, clinical nutrition, vestibular rehabilitation, and learning disorders. He is devoted to neurological and biomedical research with the effective use of peptides and neurotransmitters and other non-invasive treatment for patients.
Dr. Ruben St. Laurent specializes in concussion recovery care and therapy, advanced decompression therapy, sports optimization, neurological disorders such as vertigo, depression, anxiety, migraines, insomnia, narcolepsy, concussions, numbness and tingling, attention, motor, and learning disorders, and many others without the use of drugs or surgery. His expertise has been instrumental in the lives of concussion, stroke, Parkinson's, and dementia patients.
Additionally, Dr. St. Laurent uses sports optimization to evaluate the specific needs of athletes, physically and mentally. He considers the training and competition to develop treatment plans specific to the performance of the individual. Dr. St. Laurent is truly sympathetic concerning the aches and pains present in the lives of his patients. He personally suffered with migraines, narcolepsy, and back, neck, and shoulder pain for years after his collegiate football career and car accidents. On the brink of surgery, he sought chiropractic care with such positive results that he left a career path of conventional medicine to become a doctor of chiropractic.
He is an expert lecturer on concussions, decompression, stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s, sports optimization, concussion doctor, and neck and back pain. Dr. St. Laurent's enthusiasm and passion to educate brought him to Collin County Community College and Brookhaven Community College where he was an associate professor in Human Anatomy Physiology, Microbiology, and Biology.
